Do Aliens Exist? The Catholic Response
For those of you who missed the intro, hello, and thank you for joining me. This is the Catholic Adventurer, the hardest working man in all of Catholic podcasting. Tonight, we're talking about angels and demons. Against the backdrop of this question, do aliens exist? We're gonna learn a little bit about angelic and demonology tonight.
Speaker 1:Very little. I'm not gonna be on for hours here. We're gonna learn a little bit about, angelic and demonology, the nature of angels, the nature of demons. You'll understand why in a second as we proceed. We're gonna talk a little bit about scripture and man's place in creation, and we're going to apply all of this to the question, do aliens exist?
Speaker 1:And that's, perfect timing. How did you you hear how the the music just left? I didn't even time it that way. I was all ready to fade it out, and then it just faded out on its own. It finished.
Speaker 1:I'm cool. I'm happening. You can't beat that cool cat. So let's get started on this question. Do aliens exist?
Speaker 1:After I take my sip of tea. My simple answer to that is no. Why? Why can't aliens exist? Isn't it possible that maybe, just maybe, there's other intelligent life somewhere in this vast universe?
Speaker 1:They say the universe is continuously expanding. Well, if it's billions of years old, however years old it is, I don't know. I'm not a records keeper. As old as the universe is, isn't it possible that if we exist here, then there's another intelligent life species somewhere else? No.
Speaker 1:It is not. Not if you're Christian and you believe what the Bible says. Okay? So what about all these so called these alleged alien sightings, these UFO sightings. I've got a few things to say about that, which I'll get into after I start with angels and demons because it's related.
Speaker 1:Okay? First, do aliens exist? I say, nyet. No. Why?
Speaker 1:Because it wouldn't make sense. It would be highly illogical for aliens to exist. What are we talking about when we're talking about aliens? We're not talking about bacteria. Right?
Speaker 1:We're not talking about animals like another species of squirrel on Mars. When we're talking about aliens, whenever you hear that in the news, what are we really talking about? Another form of intelligent life. The other us. Another us.
Speaker 1:That's what we're talking about. We're not talking about bacteria. We're not talking about squirrels on Mars. Right? Could bacteria exist on other planets?
Speaker 1:Maybe. I guess. Maybe. Could there be other life forms at all, like animal life forms on other planets? I doubt it.
Speaker 1:I really, really doubt it, but I'll I'll give it a maybe. But could there be another version of us, intelligent, creative, living species on another planet? Mm-mm. I don't think so. Homie, don't play that.
Speaker 1:Let me start you with some scripture first. Okay? And then we're gonna get into angels and demons. Genesis chapter one verse 26. Then God said, let us us let us make man in our own image and after our own likeness.
Speaker 1:He's saying us and our because he's talking about the Trinity. Right? Let us make man in our own image and after our own likeness. And God blessed them humans. And God said to them, be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over it.
Speaker 1:So this shows us that man is the highest of God's creations. After God made man, he said it was very good. With every other creation, he said it was good. This is good. This is good.
Speaker 1:With man, he said this is very good. Man is God's highest creation. Okay? He made the best when he made us. Believe it or not, we really underestimate ourselves as a species.
Speaker 1:He made the best when he made us. Greater than the sun, the moon, the stars, greater than pulsars, quasars, greater than gorillas, greater than dolphins, greater than whales, greater than everything. Okay? Now would it be logical for God to make the best that he wanted to make and then to make another one? Would he make another species of intelligent, creative creatures with free will and free minds?
Speaker 1:That would really not make sense Because that would literally it would literally be a redundancy. People do that because we're dumb, but God does not do that. Once God got it right God never gets anything wrong. But once God got it right, once he made the perfection of what he wanted to make, he doesn't need to make it again on another planet somewhere. That's just stupid.
Speaker 1:It's folks, it's just stupid. It is so illogical. Well, maybe there are other kinds of humans. There's no other kind of human. Because when we're talking about aliens, what are we talking about?
Speaker 1:They're intelligent. They have free will. They have free minds. Otherwise, how can they invent spaceships? How can they develop space travel?
Speaker 1:Right? So they have a free will. They have a free mind. They're intelligent. They're creative because they're building spaceships.
Speaker 1:Right? They have form and substance by choice, which is evident in the alleged UFO sightings. Right? These aren't just blocks. This is not the Borg.
Speaker 1:Right? They're not just flying blocks. So they're creative, free minds, free will. That's humanity. So when we're talking about aliens, that's what we're talking about.
Speaker 1:So would God have reason to make a second and separate human race or race of men, we'll say, on another planet? Oh, God. That would be so stupid. Not only would it be stupid, it would contradict so much of what's in the Bible. Colossians chapter one verse 16.
Speaker 1:All things were created through him. All things were created for him. Now this is primarily talking about Jesus Christ. Okay? But what that scripture tells us is that creation has a purpose.
Speaker 1:It's purpose driven. And since man is made in the image and likeness of God, the scripture suggests that man man's central place in that purpose is dominion over creation. You don't see gorillas flying to space. You don't see squirrels exploring underneath the ocean. Okay?
Speaker 1:That's man's place. That's man's place. Once again, it would be ridiculous for God to have to do that again. In a second, I'm going to talk about alien spaceships, alleged UFO sightings, and I'm gonna get into angels and demons. I know you're expecting that's gonna be right away.
Speaker 1:I'm sorry. It's not I'm not gonna be pushing it off very far. It's only gonna be a couple of minutes till we get to that, and that's gonna be mostly what we talk about. I have some other things that I pulled from the church fathers and stuff, but I'll I'll skip that. Let's get on with it.
Speaker 1:So it would be redundant for man for God to create another race of of men. We'll just call them men. I don't care if they look like ET. I don't care if they have giant heads and thin willowy bodies. It would be another race of men.
Speaker 1:An intelligent, creative species with free minds and free wills. It would be another race of men. It doesn't matter where they are or what they look like. It would be another race of men, and it would be redundant for God to make those. There's even by the way, if you're enjoying this, please tap like a lot.
Speaker 1:Okay? Because my content really need a lot of help. Engagement is king. Engagement is king. Okay?
Speaker 1:The more there's engagement on the stuff that any any content creator produces, the more there's engagement, the more the platform will distribute their stuff. Okay? So it really helps me a lot, especially as a Catholic podcaster. It's not like I'm selling perfume here. It's not like I'm doing TikTok shop.
Speaker 1:Okay. This is a hard product to get out there to market. So if you tap like, if you engage, if you comment, if you just say hello, whatever, that really helps me. Okay. So there's a lot of footage now of UFO sightings.
Speaker 1:You've probably seen them in the news. I'm not buying it. Let's look at this logically. Okay? We're gonna look at this logically.
Speaker 1:We can leave faith out of it. Well, we don't have to we can't leave faith out of it. But let's look at it let's look at it logically. Okay? Option one.
Speaker 1:These UFO sightings are natural phenomenon, or natural phenomena. They can't be. They can't be natural. These aren't birds. These aren't, this isn't flying debris or anything that we find in the natural order.
Speaker 1:So that's out. Maybe it's not extraterrestrial at all. Maybe it's human technology that the government is just or someone is just saying is UFOs so that people don't know what kind of technology the government has out there. That's a possibility. That's a possibility.
Speaker 1:But it's not fun, so we're gonna leave that one out. The next thing we're left with is they are actually aliens. I can't buy that. I can't buy that. Because that would be so redundant and so stupid.
Speaker 1:Here's one of the reasons why that would be stupid. We have logically established if these are aliens, they are creative, they have free minds, they have free wills. So they're created in God's image. We have to conclude that. That's logic.
Speaker 1:They are created in God's image. Okay. Fine. Then we have to ask, are they fallen? Or are they like Adam and Eve before the fall?
Speaker 1:Right? Are they are they in a state a perfect state of grace? Or are they fallen? If they're fallen, do they have a redeemer? Because Christ died only once for the redemption of the world, mankind, us.
Speaker 1:Well, Christ isn't going to redeem another race a second, a separate time. So who's their who's the alien's redeemer? Well, maybe they didn't fall and don't need a redeemer. Okay. Some of the footage we have seen shows UFOs dramatically changing course.
Speaker 1:They're going this way, and then they dramatically change course that way. Almost as if they decided they see us, let's go this way. Well, you know what that is, my friends? That's a mistake. That's a mistake.
Speaker 1:That's a correction of a decision. And hear me when I tell you this, and this gets into angels and demons a little bit. Angels don't make mistakes. Okay? Adam and Eve make made bad choice made a bad choice, but they don't make mistakes because their minds, Adam and Eve's minds, were perfect.
Speaker 1:Mistakes happen from fallen natures. Fallen natures. That's how mistakes happen. From fallen natures. You, me, even the demonic.
Speaker 1:The demonic are of a fall have a fallen nature. They're not like the angels in heaven. They are fallen. So these aliens flying around appear to make mistakes. That means they're fallen.
Speaker 1:That means they need a redeemer. But Christ already did that once. Who's their redeemer now? Do you see what I mean? Why all of this is problematic?
Speaker 1:Highly, highly logically and theologically problematic. I'm sorry. I'm just backing up to see this. Sometimes people leave a comment, and I have to kind of back up and kind of move around so I can discern the text. Jesus loves you all.
Speaker 1:Says that Mark 10, with men it is impossible, but not with God. For God, all things are possible. Well, that's true. For God, all things are possible. But even the possible has to be logical.
Speaker 1:You see what I'm saying? Even the possible has to be logical. God doesn't do anything that doesn't make sense. It is true that for God, all things are possible. Listen.
Speaker 1:Let's back up for a second. The Virgin Mary, by the way, this is the feast of the assumption of Mary. Thank you, mama. The Virgin Mary, during the Annunciation, said to the angel, how is it possible? In other words, how is God going to make this happen that I should conceive since I'm a virgin?
Speaker 1:And the angel said, the spirit of the Lord will will will overshadow you, and the power of God will the spirit the Holy Spirit will descend upon you, and the power of God will overshadow you. Therefore, the child to be born will be called the son of God, yada yada yada. And then the angel says, because with because nothing will be impossible for God. Did you catch that? Nothing will be impossible for God.
Speaker 1:Do you know what that means? It means some things are impossible for God because God can only do what makes sense. For God to do what doesn't make sense in our reality, he would have to make a new reality. Okay? Nothing will be impossible for God.
Speaker 1:That means when God acts, he makes the impossible possible. Nothing will be. Doesn't say nothing is. He says nothing will be. You might say it's the same thing.
Speaker 1:Well, it is kind of the same thing, but there's a nuanced difference. Because when we say nothing will be impossible for God, what we're saying is the impossible requires an action of the divine in order to become possible. The impossible requires God to act in order for it to be possible. It's impossible for mankind to reenter heaven after the fall. God made that possible through Jesus Christ.
Speaker 1:He made that possible. So, yes, God everything is possible with God, but God has to do some tremendous acts for that to be possible. Would it be possible for him to make another race of men on another planet? It's possible, but it would be redundant. It would be illogical.
Speaker 1:If we're God to do something redundant and illogical, he can't be God, because he can't have created a perfect universe. You see? Is it possible that there are aliens who are fallen, in need of redemption, and God finds some way to redeem to redeem them? Yes. It it's possible, but God did that once already.
Speaker 1:So we see how he does that. Right? The Jews, the prophets, the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, the incarnation, the birth of Jesus Christ, his life, his ministry, his death, his suffering, his resurrection. We've seen how God does that. Is there another son of God who's going to redeem another race of men?
Speaker 1:You see what I'm saying? I'm not saying it's a stupid argument. What I'm saying is it's highly, highly, highly theologically problematic. Okay. So let's get on with it.
Speaker 1:That was a good comment. That was a very good comment. So for alien vessels to to have to change course, that means they make mistakes. That means they they're fallen. That means they would need a redeemer.
Speaker 1:But there's no redeemers left, and there's no redemptions left. Well, maybe Jesus Christ redeemed us and them in that one act. But then why did he come here to do it? Why did he come here to do it? That doesn't make any sense.
Speaker 1:Okay? Now, what else have we seen in some of this UFO footage? I'm gonna tell you one that's probably my favorite. There's one of it's I think it's like iPhone footage of a radar on a naval vessel, and it's picking up or it's a radar or a sauna or it's something. It's some kind of instrument on tracking an alleged UFO that's doing, like, strange things.
Speaker 1:And if you're not careful, it almost looks convincing. But you know what's the problem with that? You mean to tell me. Now on a naval vessel, when you're on the bridge of a naval vessel, all of that stuff is top secret. You mean to tell me on a packed bridge of a United States naval vessel, there's some ensign pointing a cell phone camera at some top secret instruments.
Speaker 1:And nobody but nobody says a word? Hey, Ensign. What are you doing? You mean the captain didn't see that? None of the other crew on the bridge saw that?
Speaker 1:Mm-mm. I don't buy it. That is impossible. That he's going to be on the bridge taking video of top secret instruments, especially the instruments in their operation, And nobody on the bridge is going to stop him. I don't buy it.
Speaker 1:There's another one that almost looks convincing. It's these lights in the sky that are moving so weird. Oh, so you mean to tell me that these aliens are so smart that they didn't they know how to travel through space and and and, I guess, through time, but they put blinking lights on the underbellies of their spacecraft? They're so secretive. They're so secretive.
Speaker 1:They've been visiting us for a hundred years undetected, but they put blinking lights on the underbellies of their spacecrafts. That's so strange. That is really so strange, isn't it? You know who puts blinking lights on the underbellies of their spacecraft? People.
Speaker 1:So that there are no accidents midair. And this particular clip was a very famous one because I don't remember exactly, but I think it was kind of moving in a, like, a weird way. It's one of the more popular alien spacecraft footage videos that people have seen over the past maybe four or five years. But not a single person has come forward to say, why are there lights on on a secret spacecraft? No one.
Speaker 1:No one is saying, hey, you see how those lights are blinking in a pattern? It's not random. They don't stay on. They're kind of blinking. Blink.
Speaker 1:Blink. Blink. You don't think you you think aliens flying here in secret are not only putting lights on the underbellies of their spacecraft, but they're even timing them to blink in a consistent sequence? I don't think so. So I don't buy 95% of that footage that we have seen that has made it to the public.
Speaker 1:What about pilots who say they've seen x and y and z in the air? Okay. Valid. That doesn't mean what they saw was extraterrestrial. Some of these pilots have seen space alleged spacecraft or unidentified flying vessels making sharp turns when they realize they've been detected.
Speaker 1:We go back to square one. That means they made a mistake. That means they can make choices, but they made a mistake, so they're fallen. That means they would need a redeemer. We're back to square one.
Speaker 1:It's theologically problematic, highly so, and it's theologically inconsistent. And even naturally, it doesn't make any sense. In the order of nature by itself, if we just leave the Bible out of it in the order of nature, it doesn't make any sense at all. So it's not natural phenomena. It could be human technology.
Speaker 1:That's what I think it probably is. It's human technology that the government is not admitting to. That's the United States government, the Russian government, the Chinese government. I I think all of them have similar programs of secrecy. So I think that's probably what it is, but it's not fun, so we're leaving that out.
Speaker 1:It could be aliens. Again, we run into a problem. So if it's not natural, if it's not human, if it's not alien, what else could it be? What's the last option? The demonic.
Speaker 1:It is not uncommon for demons to manifest in physical forms with God's permission. K? They can't do it on their own. They have the power to do it, but they can't do it on their own. They have to be allowed to do it.
Speaker 1:It's not uncommon for demons to take physical form in order to fool human beings. Padre Pio reported this a number of times, that sometimes there was a demon in the confessional. And he didn't realize it at first, that he came to realize it as the confession was going on because of the person's speech or the things that they said, whatever. It's not unheard of for the demonic to take the forms of animals. That one is is certain.
Speaker 1:Again, with God's permission. Why do they do that? To confuse, to disorient, and to terrorize the human race. To terrorize the I think most ghosts, ninety nine point nine percent of ghost sightings, I think those are demonic. Why?
Speaker 1:Why would they but the ghosts aren't hurting anybody, etcetera, etcetera. Let's let's say it's like a just a ghost who's, like, floating there and looks kind. And it's, you know, it's the ghost of my old grandmother, and she's just standing there baking cookies. So your grandmother came back as a ghost to pretend to bake cookies. Yes.
Speaker 1:Because she used to bake cookies and she loved to bake so your grandmother decided heaven is boring. She came here to pretend to bake cookies. Well, maybe she maybe there is no heaven. Maybe we just float around here in peace. So your grandmother was not content floating around here in peace.
Speaker 1:She had to go to your house to make cookies. Well, maybe because she wanted me to have a sign that she was alright. Why wouldn't your grandmother just say that? Why wouldn't your grandmother appear to you and say, why does she have to pretend to make cookies? That just seems mindless.
Speaker 1:I think most ghost sightings are the demonic. Well, what about those harmless ghosts? I think those harmless ghosts that are demonic are intended to fool and disorient people. Because if you see the ghost of your dead grandma, then you know she's at peace. And grandma never went to church.
Speaker 1:So why should I? Or grandma always went to church, but I never do. But my grandmother came back and didn't warn me to go to church. She just baked cookies. Okay.
Speaker 1:These things confuse people, disorient people. That's what the demonic want. These things also terrorize and terrify people. That's what the demonic what the demonic love fear. They love for you to be afraid of anything.
Speaker 1:They love fear period. Fear and anger, they love. It's like candy for them. Okay? Also, especially because fear and terror used if a person's faith is not on point, fear and terror can pull someone away from God when it should actually draw them closer to God.
Speaker 1:But that's another story. So I think it's the demonic. Angels took human form in the scriptures. We know angels can do that. Also, with God's permission, when they're on a particular mission from God.
Speaker 1:We know that angels can do that. That's and Saint Thomas Aquinas has has said angels can do that. Okay. You might have met an angel in your lifetime and never knew it. Well, the demonic are also angels.
Speaker 1:The demonic are an angelic species, but they're not angels in the sense that they're not in heaven. They are fallen. Okay? They are of a fallen nature, but it is still an angelic nature. But a fallen angelic nature is what we call a demon or a devil.
Speaker 1:So if angels can take physical form, the demonic can too. Once again, I want to stress this, they can only do it with God's permission. Okay? For God's own purposes. They can and have taken the forms of animals.
Speaker 1:They can and have taken human form. They can and have taken spiritual form of humans who have lived. Aquinas has said this. We know this through scripture, and and I don't wanna say tradition because of the connotations of that word, but we we know that they can do this. Can they take the form of spacecraft?
Speaker 1:Well, let me ask you this. How do you know that what we're seeing is spacecraft? All we're seeing is shapes that are moving around. We interpret that as spacecrafts. Right?
Speaker 1:But no one has actually seen an engine. No one has seen wings. No one has seen propulsion. And sure enough, no one has seen the inside of one. So what are we seeing?
Speaker 1:We're seeing solid shapes, symmetrical, flying around in strange patterns. Or splashing into the water with no splash except no one act no if you look at the footage of an aircraft splashing into the water without making a splash, I have two things to say to that. Birds can do that. There are birds who can do that. They can swoop right into the water, not a not a splash at all.
Speaker 1:The other thing is, if you look at the footage carefully, you don't see anything. You see a dot, and then the dot descends, and then there's no dot. You don't see you don't perceive water. You don't perceive a splash or the absence of a splash because the footage is so so so grainy. But we're being told this is footage of a of a craft of a of an aircraft of some kind moving very rapidly.
Speaker 1:Planes do move rapidly, but okay. Moving very rapidly. And then you'll see that it splashes into the water, but it doesn't make a splash. Well, actually, we don't see that. You're just telling us that that's what we're seeing.
Speaker 1:You're telling us that that's what's in the footage, but if you look at it objectively, that's not really what you see. You see a dot that descends, then there's no dot. But okay. Can they take the can demonic can demons take the form of alien space? In a minute, I'm gonna start taking, people's questions and comments if you have any.
Speaker 1:If you wanna join the live for a minute or two, I'll take you on to chitchat with me. So can alien can the demonic take the form of alien spacecraft? Well, we don't know that they're alien spacecraft. We just know that they're shapes. And the demonic can do that.
Speaker 1:So can angels. Now I'm gonna give you a crash course on the nature of angels and demons, and then I'm going to tell you what I think. Let's pretend. Let's pretend. Let's pretend these are either demons or they are aliens.
Speaker 1:They're not. But let's pretend. Why would God allow this? Why is God allowing these aliens to visit us? He's not.
Speaker 1:But let's we're just gonna pretend. It's it's going to blow your mind a little bit. It might even make you a little uneasy. Get to that in a minute. Let me tell you a few things about angels and demons.
Speaker 1:Well, let's just say angels. Okay? And it includes the demons, because demons were angels. Angels have a free mind and a free will just like us. Okay?
Speaker 1:Angels are not, you know, robots preprogrammed to obey. Angels chose to obey, but they chose once. We have to choose constantly. Angels made one choice forever. Okay?
Speaker 1:They have a free mind. They chose to to serve God. And they have a free will. But their will is united to the will of God. I want to become a cat.
Speaker 1:Well, God doesn't want you to become a cat. Like, in the form of a cat. Oh, then I won't. There's no question. I wish I could visit the earth and come down in the form of a great, big, fluffy cloud with eyes.
Speaker 1:Well, God doesn't want you to do that. Okay, then I won't. There is no question. Their will is free, but it's entirely united to the will of God. Okay?
Speaker 1:They don't make choices like we make. Only we have the power to make the choices like how we make, which has also which also gets us into trouble. That's why there's confession, and that's why there's a cross. Thank you, Jesus. What about knowledge?
Speaker 1:Do angels have knowledge? Yes. But they do not learn. An angel has complete knowledge of everything that angel needs to know as soon as that angel is created. It's divinely infused knowledge.
Speaker 1:So that when an angel is born created, that angel instantly has all of the knowledge it needs for the task it was created for. For example, your guardian angel knows an awful lot about you. Long before you ever came into being, your guardian angel already knew an awful lot about you. Your guardian angel doesn't know your full story. Right?
Speaker 1:If your life were written in a book, even the life that you haven't lived yet, your angel doesn't know that full story. But your angel knows a lot about you. Your personality, your character, some of the major events of your life. Okay? Things like that.
Speaker 1:It doesn't know the full story like God knows, but your angel knows a whole lot about you, your guardian angel. But your guardian angel doesn't know how gravity works. There are angels that know how gravity works, but they don't know too much about you. There are angels that know everything about music. This most of this folks is from Thomas Aquinas, by the way, which I'm going to also if you go to thewaypoint.co, thewaypoint.co, when I put this material up there for you to to read and enjoy yourselves, I'll put some stuff from Saint Thomas Aquinas there as well.
Speaker 1:Thewaypoint.co. Somebody just dropped a whole lot of hearts and, a whole lot of love, and I thank you very much. Thank you for joining me live here on TikTok too. So angels know everything they need to know for those jobs that they were made for, but only for the job that they were made for. Okay?
Speaker 1:They have a lot of knowledge. They have a free will, and they have a very powerful will. Aquinas said that the war between the angels and heaven was a war of wills. It wasn't swords and shields, the way we imagine it. It was a war of wills.
Speaker 1:The wills of the good angels and the wills of the bad angels. What does that mean? We don't really know, but here's how I can describe it. If you take two opposing magnets and you put them together, they won't touch, right? They'll resist each other if they're of the same pole.
Speaker 1:So you take two really powerful magnets and you force them together, that tension in between them because they won't touch. Right? That tension in between them, think of that as a war of wills. A war of wills. So angels have a free mind and a free will.
Speaker 1:Angels are extremely, extremely, extremely powerful. The lowest angel could destroy the planet Earth like that. True. They're extremely powerful. It's interesting.
Speaker 1:Every time an angel appears to a person in his true form or as true a form as we can understand, the first thing the angel says in the scriptures, don't be afraid, you go back and you'll see. Every time an angel appears as an angel, first thing they see is don't be afraid. First thing they say is rather don't be afraid. Is it because they look so frightful because they look so powerful? I I don't know.
Speaker 1:But it's interesting. Right? So angels are very powerful. Angels can manipulate physical space, physical objects, or they can manifest physical objects, but they cannot create physical objects. Okay?
Speaker 1:So they can manifest as a human being, but it's not a real human being. It only looks and feels like a real human being. But it's not an angel cannot create a human being. They can take on human form, but they're not creating a human being. Maybe an angel is taking on the form of a space vessel, a spacecraft, but it's not an actual spacecraft because the angels can't create physical things.
Speaker 1:Okay? I don't remember if it was Aquinas or Padre Pio or someone else, but I remember something significant. One of them, someone in the demonological, discipline said is that when a demon tries to manifest as a ghost, there's always something missing. It's missing legs, or it's missing eyes. There's always something missing.
Speaker 1:That's usually the first clue that it's the demonic. Because they're fallen, they're imperfect, and they cannot perfectly manifest a human being. Point is, they can't create. They can't even create something perfectly. Okay?
Speaker 1:They can take on physical form if they're permitted, but they can't create a physical thing. Okay? I'm gonna invite because I said in a few minutes, I was gonna invite people on. I'm going to start with I'm not even sure if she's asking. Lisa grateful to join live.
Speaker 1:Lisa great. I guess her name is Lisa grateful. Let's see. I don't know. Folks, if you don't wanna hop on, you don't have to.
Speaker 1:TikTok is sending me these messages saying invite so and so to join the live. I don't know if you're asking to join or if TikTok TikTok is just randomly saying, hey, why don't you invite them to join? So I'll give it a try. If I do invite you to join and you don't really want to, please don't feel that you have to. Okay?
Speaker 1:It's not like I'm calling you up on stage. Come on. Come on. Oh, they're shy. Come on up.
Speaker 1:Listen. Come on up. Don't worry. Don't be shy. I'm not it's not like that.
Speaker 1:Okay? Angels, free minds, free wills, they can manifest physical form. The demonic we know can manifest as animals. You know the the the lore of how Dracula could become a bat, or how vampires can become cats. You know where that comes from?
Speaker 1:Demonology. That comes from demonology. That's where that legend came from. But it's not legend. That that part that the demonic can manifest as physical animals, that part is true.
Speaker 1:Angels can't do anything without God's permission. Period. Not even possession. Angel angels slash demons cannot do anything without God's permission. They have a free mind.
Speaker 1:They have a free will. But their wills, at least the good angels, their wills are perfectly conformed to the will of God. The demonic wills are not conformed to the will of God. That's why they're demonic. But even the demonic can operate within the legal limits of what God has ordained.
Speaker 1:Okay? There's no possible way for you to become water vapor because you operate within the limits of physical space and nature. You can't become water vapor. And the demonic can't operate outside of the legal limits imposed by God on the entire created order, including the creation of angels. Could the the demons or angels ever choose against God?
Speaker 1:Yes. They could, but only once. They had that option only once. And the good angels chose to stay with God, and the bad ones chose not to. They don't choose again and again and again and again like we do because they're different.
Speaker 1:They're made differently. Okay? To that point, I will also add this. I said that angels are are created with all the knowledge that they need. They don't need to learn.
Speaker 1:Everything that they need to know, they have that knowledge already. We need to learn. Even Adam and Eve before the fall were creatures who needed to discover, which is a little different from learning, but I'm not gonna get into that. We need to learn. I think that's why we have the power to choose and choose and choose and choose.
Speaker 1:Because our understanding of truth is different from what God gave the angels. God gave us the gift of discovery. Believe it or not, it's a gift to be a species that has to learn and discover. God gave us that gift, and so we have the power to choose and to choose and to choose and to choose. Again, I'm going to invite people that TikTok is asking me to invite to come on to the live.
Speaker 1:If you don't want to, please don't feel pressured. I'm TikTok is saying invite them, so here and there I will invite somebody. Because maybe you're asking to be invited, and maybe you're not. I don't know. If you don't want to join the live, that's okay.
Speaker 1:So that's the basic premise of the nature of angels and demons. Free minds. Free wills. Very, very, very, very powerful. They have incredible, incredibly power the mind of an angel is so incredible, it makes the smartest person that ever lived look like a complete moron.
Speaker 1:Okay? The the the angelic mind is very, very powerful and very, very patient. The angels cannot read your mind, but the demonic, even though the demonic can't read your mind, they're very good at knowing what you're thinking just by observing you. Observing your actions and reactions, your body language. They are very, very good at knowing what you're thinking.
Speaker 1:But they make mistakes. They make mistakes. The demonic can make mistakes. That's for sure. The demonic are very good at knowing what you're thinking.
Speaker 1:They know what tempts you. They know what temptations work on you. They can't read your mind. They can access your imagination, but they can't read your mind. But they know what you're thinking.
Speaker 1:Not every they don't know everything that you're thinking. But they know how you're thinking just from observing you. That's how smart they are. Very, very smart. But they do make mistakes.
Speaker 1:I've experienced the demonic making mistakes. So there's that. That's the basic gist of the nature of angels and demons. Don't focus on the demonic. There's a big infatuation these days with, demonic possession and stuff.
Speaker 1:Please don't focus on the demonic. They love attention. Don't give it to them. Don't feed the trolls. Okay?
Speaker 1:Focus on Jesus Christ. Now, this is why I think there's no aliens. First, as I said, it's illogical. It would be redundant. It would be stupid.
Speaker 1:It's contrary to what we see in scripture, and what we see in scripture is pretty damn clear. It's theologically highly problematic highly, highly problematic for there to be aliens. Are they fallen? Do they need the redeemer? That's kind of a problem and yada yada yada yada.
Speaker 1:The other thing is, are these aliens no. Maybe they're demons meant to confuse and terrorize the human race. That could be. We know from Saint Thomas Aquinas and others that demons can do that. Well, why would they show up as alien spacecraft only now?
Speaker 1:Why wouldn't they do that, I don't know, five hundred years ago? Why wouldn't they scare humanity five hundred years ago by manifesting as alien spacecraft? Maybe they wanted to, but God wouldn't allow it. Or maybe they did, but nobody saw it. I don't know.
Speaker 1:If this is an alien species, this is gonna freak you out a little bit. If this is an alien species, and I'm confident it is not, but let's pretend, just to have a little fun, why would there be an alien species visiting us? Here's my theory. And again, I do not believe they are aliens. But let's just we're just playing.
Speaker 1:In scripture, every time Israel now Israel was God's people. Right? That's God's people. Okay? The nation of Israel.
Speaker 1:That is the people. That is his number one. K? So he paid a lot of attention to them. When Israel transgressed, God punished them either directly or he permitted punishment to be inflicted on them, being conquered, exiled to Babylon, and so on.
Speaker 1:What's interesting about that? God to punish Israel, God even allowed Israel's enemies to conquer Israel. These were pagans. These weren't even other believers in God. These were people who were technically God's enemies too.
Speaker 1:And God let them conquer Israel to punish and humble his children, Israel. Now, there's no longer I mean, there isn't, you know, the people of Israel. I mean, there's still Jews. Right? But I'm talking about in terms of an of of a nation that believes in God.
Speaker 1:We're no longer a nation that believes in God. We're a human race that believes in God. Right? Jesus Christ, the Catholic church spreading the gospel. Much of the world believes in the God of Abraham, and the majority of them are Christians of some kind, Catholic or otherwise.
Speaker 1:We can agree to disagree whether or not Muslims believe in the God of Abraham. I believe that they do. They worship him wrongly. They believe in him incorrectly, but they do believe in the God of Abraham. So when we talk about peep if you have anything problem about that, drop it in the chat.
Speaker 1:But let's just agree to disagree. Okay? Muslims believe in the God of Abraham, so do Jews, so do Christians. Catholics or other Christians. So most of the world is modern day Israel, so to speak.
Speaker 1:It's a nation that knows God. Some of us know him completely incorrectly. Others don't. Some of us are orthodox in our Christianity. Others are not.
Speaker 1:But we all know God as Israel knew God. Now what do you do when it's no longer a nation but the whole world transgressing as Israel transgressed throughout the scriptures? What do you do when it's the whole world transgressing? Well, God let Israel's enemies and God's own enemies punish Israel. Well, what do you do when it's the whole world?
Speaker 1:There's no nation to allow the Who is God going to send to punish the whole world for its transgression? Who would God send? Who would God send if he wanted to send an enemy to punish the whole world for transgressing? You would send aliens, wouldn't you? You would send an enemy of the human race, perhaps even an enemy of God.
Speaker 1:And God would allow that enemy to punish his children for their transgressions. To punish and to humble them so that they come back to him anew. That would have to be aliens. There's no nation there's there's no enemy nation that can punish the whole world because most of the world believes in the God of Abraham. Not every not a 100% of the world, but most of it.
Speaker 1:So that cancels out just about everybody on the planet. So now if God wants to send an enemy to punish his children, who would he send? He would have to send aliens. Possible. If aliens exist, they don't exist.
Speaker 1:Maybe God is letting this happen. Maybe the aliens will invade as a punishment for the world's transgressions. My dog is here, by the way. So every time I hear a noise, I just have to go go go there go there and check on him. Maybe it's the aliens who are being sent to punish us for our transgressions as a global race who who who knows God but defies him.
Speaker 1:I don't think that's true because I don't think aliens exist. But if they did, that would be my guess. Why are they if the aliens exist, why are they coming here? Maybe to punish us. Maybe it is the start of an alien invasion.
Speaker 1:Why would god allow that? To punish us. Not forever. Just for now. I don't think that's true because I don't think aliens exist, but I'm just we're just it's a thought experiment.
Speaker 1:Okay? It's a thought experiment. So there you have it. If these if these flying things are real, I think they're probably human technology. If they're not human technology, it's demonic manifestations meant to confuse and terrorize the human race.
Speaker 1:That's real that's really what it boils down to. It can't really be aliens. Too theologically problematic. It's too naturally problematic. It would be so redundant.
Speaker 1:It would just be so stupid. Could we be missing something? Is there some divine revelation that we haven't received yet that has to do with aliens? No. No.
Speaker 1:Because if there is, folks, then Jesus Christ is a liar. So he's either really God or he really isn't. And if he really is God, take it to the bank. Aliens don't exist. That's what I say, and I'm sticking to it.
Speaker 1:I said a moment ago that demonic make mistakes. You have to be very spiritually aware, but again, focus on God. Sometimes have you ever had a, let's say, a temptation cross your mind that didn't tempt you at all? It was just like some weird thought or some weird dream. Right?
Speaker 1:And the character of the dream, it almost seemed like it was, like, supposed to be, like, tempting, but it was like, what a weird dream. That's not I can I can see it was it was the kind of thought or the kind of dream that's that's usually how my temptations work, but that wouldn't tempt me? You know what happened? The demon tempting you made a mistake. The demon tempting you made a mistake.
Speaker 1:He thought this was something that would grab you, but he got it wrong. Now that I've told you that, you're going to start to notice it. But I I will say this though too in my experience. When I have noticed when I have recognized that X or Y or Z is demonic activity, Temptation, for instance, is the ordinary activity of the demonic. When I have noticed that this temptation sometimes it's not always temptation to sin.
Speaker 1:It is not always temptation to sin. It's temptation to anything that pulls you away from God, pulls you away from prayer, pulls you away from the mass. It's not always temptation to sin. Whenever I have recognized this is demonic influence. The rare times that I have caught a mistake, it happens very, very, very, very, very, very fast.
Speaker 1:And I was lucky to have caught them when they've happened. So you have to be very spiritually aware. Because those mistakes, they happen, but they happen very fast. And if you're someone who's easily distracted, and you don't have a mind that's trained to be a little bit more focused, which you can all do that. You can train your minds to be more and more focused, more and more deep.
Speaker 1:You'll miss it. But the more focused you are, you're gonna catch it. You're gonna catch a mistake. Folks, check it. I am not doing this as a hobby.
Speaker 1:This is really work for me, but it is not my work. I don't get paid for it. And it's not a hobby. I take it seriously. And the reason why I do it is because I want to spread the gospel.
Speaker 1:Want to spread the truth. I want to spread my share my wisdom and experience with you to help you in the path of your own Catholic experience and your own Catholic adventure. So I take it seriously, but it's not a hobby. And I don't get paid for it, but I take it seriously. So you can help me.
Speaker 1:You can take it seriously right alongside with me by engaging in the stuff that I po engaging with the stuff that I post because it helps the account, it helps the thing that I'm posting, it helps this live, and so on. That helps me a lot because it's me versus the algorithm. And you know who picks the winner? You. I am not kidding.
Speaker 1:It's me versus it's any creator versus the algorithm. And you pick the winner by tapping like, by leaving a comment, by sharing, whatever. Okay? By engaging with the stuff that you like, whether it's my stuff or any any other creator, by engaging with the stuff that you like, you're telling the algorithm this is interesting to you, and it might be interesting to others. So the algorithm will show you more of that creator's stuff, and also the algorithm will will better distribute the stuff that you have expressed an interest in.
Speaker 1:So if you want to help me to I it's literally this. If you want to help me to evangelize, if you want to help me to help other saints in the making, that's you guys. If you wanna help me to form the saints in the making, that's what I do this for. If you wanna help me to do that, your engagement does a whole lot, man. Your engagement does a lot.
Speaker 1:So come on with it. So to break it down and sum it up, aliens don't exist. It would be it would be logically stu pid with a capital stew. It would be logically stupid for aliens to exist. It would be theologically highly problematic.
Speaker 1:It would be in biblically inconsistent with what we see in the scriptures, not just because aliens aren't mentioned, but because of what the scripture says about humanity. Theologically inconsist it's so inconsistent. I am just not buying it. If these flying spaceships really are aliens, and I'm I'm not saying that they are, I believe that they are not aliens, but we're just playing. If they're aliens, then I think God sent them to punish the human race for our transgressions.
Speaker 1:But I don't think that's true, because I don't think aliens exist. What I think probably they are is human technology that's very secret, because the alien footage is like there is so much BS surrounding too many of these alien footage clips, like the one guy on the naval vessel taking a video and, like, no one on the bridge is saying, hey. What are you doing taking video of a top secret piece of instrument on the bridge of a United States naval vessel? Nobody on the bridge said that? And this spaceship that's flying in strange patterns with blinking lights on the underbelly, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1:There is just and all all of this stuff is convincing a lot of people. I'm sorry. It doesn't convince me. There's just too much BS surrounding too many of this footage, and I'm sorry. I am just not buying it.
Speaker 1:I'm sorry. You're gonna have to get up a little bit earlier than that if you wanna put one over on me. So I think it's probably human technology. If it is not human technology, then it's a demonic confusion tactic, which as I've gone over the nature of angels and demons, we have established it's something the demonic could do, have done in other ways, and we've discussed why they do such things to terrify, to terrorize, to confuse the human race, to disorient the human race or human beings, individual individual people. Why do the demonic want to do those things?
Speaker 1:To pull us away from God? To make us question the existence of God? To make us question the importance of the church? Well, God made all things, especially these alien creatures. You know what?
Speaker 1:The alien creatures don't have to go to church. So you know what? I was right all along. God is love, and he makes all kinds of intelligent things, and he doesn't want us weighed down by rules. So the aliens confuse and disorient to pull us away from God, to pull us away from the church, to pull us away from spirituality, to pull us away from the blessed virgin Mary even, to and obviously, to pull us away from Jesus Christ.
Speaker 1:Right? Jesus Christ is irrelevant. If aliens can do all these same parlor tricks, get the hell out of here. Come on, man. So if it's not human technology, it's the demonic.
Speaker 1:We've established that they can do that. We've established why they do that. And we have established what their objectives are, and have been, and might be going forward. Listen, folks. If you would like to become friendly with my podcasting, go to catholic@experience.fm.
